Your Role at Wondakka:

  • This is a part-time, short-term contract position (ending 3 December 2027) embedded within the Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Service.
  • You will contribute meaningfully to community-based recovery by delivering:
    • Comprehensive psychosocial assessments and care planning for adults with complex mental health needs
    • Therapeutic individual and group interventions aligned to recovery-oriented practice frameworks
    • Coordination with community services, housing supports, and family networks to reduce barriers to independent living
    • Active participation in multidisciplinary team reviews, case conferences, and clinical governance processes

What You'll Bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in mental health settings, including psychosocial assessment and recovery planning
  • Sound understanding of the South Australian mental health legislative framework and the National Standards for Mental Health Services
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a rehabilitation-focused, community-based team
  • Strong communication skills and experience engaging with consumers, carers, and external service providers
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to work across NALHN sites as required

To be eligible for this position, you must have an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

About You:

In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a passionate, highly driven, dedicated and progressive team.
