This is a full-time Teaching role with a fixed term appointment to the Curriculum Leader position. The Curriculum Leader supports the mission of Good Shepherd Catholic College through leadership of the learning and teaching program by ensuring that appropriate pedagogies are developed and implemented at all levels.

The successful applicant will demonstrate leadership in three dimensions: leadership of teaching and learning, human leadership and strategic leadership. Guided by Catholic values, you’ll demonstrate authentic leadership that nurtures faith, compassion and community. Your ability to model integrity, foster relationships and create an inclusive, supportive environment will be key to the ongoing success of both students and staff.

To thrive in this role, you will be a registered teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers and bring extensive classroom experience, together with a deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements. You’ll pair that professional credibility with a proven ability to lead and mentor others, build collaborative teams and translate data into meaningful improvement. Most importantly, you’ll lead with integrity, model our Catholic ethos in practice, and be motivated by helping both students and staff flourish.

Based in the heart of Queensland’s outback, Mount Isa offers a truly unique lifestyle - a welcoming community surrounded by striking landscapes and endless skies. From weekends at Lake Moondarra to the excitement of the famous Mount Isa Rodeo, life here blends adventure with a relaxed, close-knit country spirit, making it a rewarding place to live and teach.
