The Firm
This successful and growing firm specialises in both transactional and litigation work. With offices located at Erina and Toukley, both with plenty of parking nearby, the firm is committed to innovative and environmentally friendly office practices. Our clients range from young to old, mums and dads to professionals, and small businesses to large corporate groups.
The firm is in a growth phase and is looking to hire family law solicitors to help manage a high volume of family law clients, as well as assisting with other litigation matters. We are willing to consider applicants from 0 to 7 years PQE. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
The Role
You will have the opportunity to work across both our Erina and Toukley offices, as well as attend relevant courts. With no two days the same, this fast-paced and varied role will see you working across both locations, dealing with a broad range of family law matters and becoming an integral part of our growing team. With appropriate training and support, you will become familiar with all aspects of family law and court processes.
The successful applicant will work closely with one of the senior solicitors of the firm, while also having sole carriage of their own matters involving divorce, financial settlements, child related matters and child support matters. Court appearances, which will involve travel, will also form part of the role.
Cultural fit is hugely important to this practice and we require someone who will really become part of the team. You will hopefully look at this role in the long term and be keen to establish and build a successful career with the firm.
The Candidate
- An interest in family law and litigation. Previous litigation experience is preferred, but not essential.
- An appreciation that living through a relationship breakdown can be a stressful time for your client, demonstrated through excellent people skills and the ability to balance client interests with tight deadlines.
- A high degree of computer literacy. Experience using LEAP, Outlook and Word is preferable but not essential.
- Very high attention to detail (hint: make sure there are no spelling or grammatical mistakes in your resume!).
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
