This is an exciting opportunity for an auditor looking to accelerate their career while working with complex and interesting clients, particularly within the mining and resources, digital assets/blockchain, financial services and AFSL-regulated sectors.At RSM, you'll work closely with listed and large private groups, emerging growth businesses, and regulated entities, gaining exposure to a diverse range of engagements while developing your leadership, technical and commercial capabilities.The OpportunityAs an Audit Senior or Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in delivering audit engagements from planning through to completion while building strong relationships with clients and mentoring junior team members.You will work across a diverse portfolio including:ASX-listed and large private groupsMining and resources companiesDigital asset, blockchain and cryptocurrency businessesAFSL holders and financial services entitiesTechnology and high-growth businessesPublic sector and not-for-profit organisationsThis role offers a clear pathway to further leadership opportunities and provides exposure to some of the most dynamic and evolving industries in the market.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and deliver audit engagements from planning through to completion.Prepare and review audit workpapers, testing and documentation across significant and complex audit areas.Identify, assess and resolve technical accounting and auditing matters, escalating issues where required.Review financial statements and disclosures to ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements.Assist in preparing audit reports, management letters and client presentations.Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality service delivery.Manage multiple engagements and competing priorities while meeting deadlines and quality standards.Coach, mentor and develop graduates, audit assistants and junior team members.Support engagement budgeting, scheduling and project management activities.Contribute to business development initiatives and identify opportunities to provide additional value to clients.About you:Experience & Attributes2+ years' external audit experience for Senior level, or 5+ years' experience for Assistant Manager level.Experience leading audit engagements and supervising junior team members.Exposure to mining and resources, digital assets/blockchain, financial services and/or AFSL-regulated entities will be highly regarded.CA or CPA qualified, or near completion.Strong knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards, Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management capabilities.Commercial mindset with the ability to deliver practical, value-added solutions.Passion for mentoring others and contributing to a positive team culture.Desire to continue growing technically and professionally within a high-performing and collaborative team.Life at RSM:RSM provides a great environment to build skills and confidence and we help our people achieve their best.
