Are you passionate about building strong customer relationships and driving commercial growth? Join RS as an Application Engineer where you'll be providing technical guidance to understand customer needs, recommend the right solutions and driving business growth across the market.
- Act as the technical expert supporting sales and business teams
- Build and maintain product knowledge (FAQs, comparisons, alternatives)
- Deliver product and technical training to sales teams and customers
- Support new product selection and launches with Product and Supplier Managers
- Develop strong knowledge of the RS Pro product range and applications
- Provide technical advice to customers and internal sales teams
- Support sales and marketing with technical solutions and value propositions
- Identify customer projects and specification opportunities
- Support trade shows, demos, and technical marketing activities
- Engage with customers across the full sales cycle, including post-sales support
About you
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Application Engineer in electronics, mechanical, industrial, distribution, or related RS industry roles
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively at all business levels
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to provide value-added technical specification and engineering advice to customers
