Full time, Permanent position at Breakthru, part of the Royal Rehab Group, which has over 125 years of experience delivering life-changing disability and rehabilitation services. As a Career Coach, you will support individuals with disability, injury or health conditions as they prepare for a meaningful career.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with clients as they plan their next career steps, providing support to find the right job along the way.
- Building strong relationships to understand each client’s goals, strengths, and support needs.
- Providing tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
- Connecting participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience, and group-based activities.
- Collaborating with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
- Meeting or exceeding internal and external performance benchmarks.
- Championing Breakthru’s values of inclusion, empowerment, and person-centred practice.
About you:

With experience, or a genuine passion, for employment services, you’re confident supporting people, building trust and guiding them toward meaningful and sustainable careers. You’re outcomes-focused, highly organised, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-first environment. Your strong relationship-building skills allow you to connect with both clients and employers alike.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g. Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) – desirable
- Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions
- Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
- Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends
- Current Driver’s License - essential
