About the RCH’s Family Healthcare Support Team: The Family Healthcare Support team is an evolving service working with the Complex Care Hub to coordinate the out-of-hospital support for eligible families. The team provides support to children with complex medical needs in their home environment or other appropriate settings. • Maintain the safety and well-being of the child as outlined in the child specific training manual and report any concerns to the parents.
  • Support children to access activities, education, and community outings, if appropriate.
  • Be responsible for the safe management of equipment during shift times.

The Impact You’ll Make:

  • Building positive professional relationships with parents and children and strengthen RCH community bonds.
  • Bridging the access to care gap by providing care to children within the comforts of their own community.
  • Providing necessary respite for parents and family members, allowing them to attend to other essential responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • A strong ability to complete verbal and written assessments delivered in English.
  • An ability to travel independently.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and a professional demeanour.
