Rota Moulding is seeking an organised, commercially aware person to become the central point of contact for customer enquiries and keep orders moving accurately from initial enquiry through to dispatch and invoicing. This is not a traditional sales role - most enquiries are inbound or come from existing customers. You will not be expected to cold-call or generate your own sales leads. Success comes from excellent customer service, accurate quoting, disciplined follow-up and strong coordination across orders for the factory.
Key responsibilities
Respond to phone, email and website enquiries; understand product requirements and prepare accurate quotations.
Process customer orders and maintain clear records of pricing, specifications, commitments and next actions.
Follow up open quotations and keep customers informed about lead times, collections and deliveries.
Monitor orders through production readiness, dispatch and invoicing; identify and elevate obstacles early.
Coordinate freight bookings, collection arrangements and dispatch documentation.
Work alongside production and a stores person, who is progressively take on routine physical picking, packing and staging.
Contribute to an organised end-of-month closeout so that completed, eligible orders are dispatched and invoiced promptly.
Help improve the way we use our systems, routines and information across the business.
About you
You have experience in customer service, internal sales support, order coordination, trade supply, wholesale or manufacturing.
You take pride in accuracy, meeting customer commitments and finishing what you start.
You are comfortable learning practical/technical products and dealing with a busy factory environment.
You are personable and calm, but persistent about following up outstanding tasks.
You understand why dispatching and invoicing legitimate completed orders on time matters commercially.
You enjoy improving imperfect processes rather than waiting for everything to be fully documented.
You communicate clearly with customers, colleagues and management; you raise problems early rather than hiding them.
