About the Facility: Roshana Bolton Point Aged Care is a 56 beds welcoming residential aged care home offering high-quality care in a safe, supportive and community-focused environment. The home provides comfortable accommodation, modern communal spaces, landscaped outdoor areas and person-centred care designed to support residents’ wellbeing, dignity and independence.
We are looking for a Kitchen Hand to join our aged care team at Roshana Bolton Point Aged Care, in a Casual capacity.
About the Role: As a Kitchen Hand, you will play an important role behind the scenes, helping ensure our residents enjoy safe, nutritious, and well-presented meals every day. Your work will directly support the comfort and wellbeing of those in our care. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys staying active and being part of a supportive team.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Assist with basic food preparation including washing, peeling, and plating
- Support meal service and ensure timely delivery of food to residents
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards at all times
- Assist with stock rotation, storage, and kitchen organisation
- Work closely with cooks and chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
What You Will Bring:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting (preferred but not essential)
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and reliability
- A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check, or willingness to obtain this
- Understanding of food safety practices (or willingness to obtain certification)
