The centre boasts a beautiful, spacious indoor and outdoor environment with inviting spaces where the children are inspired to explore and investigate experiences based on their interests.
We believe that our cooks are an integral part of the team and a key player in fostering healthy eating habits from a young age, contributing to the overall well-being and development of our little ones.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Cook to join our dedicated team and prepare meals for the childrenon Thursdays and Fridays from 8.30am to 3pm, with the occasional extra days if the other cook is away.
The opportunity
Work with the other centre cook to review and plan seasonal menus ensuring they have nutritionally and healthy balanced meals for children between the ages of 4 months to 6 years old.
Preparation of meals, including, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack.
Maintain a high level of health & safety standards.
Have knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergies, and preparing alternative meals
Be part of the centre community where you are a part of interacting with our team, families & children.
Qualification and Essential Experience
Will hold or be prepared to obtain appropriate Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Be willing to complete a free online Allergens training.
Be willing to complete a free online Food Handling training.
Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation.
Demonstrated knowledge of food handling guidelines.
Organised, neat, clean, and pay attention to details.
Have or be willing to complete the free National Child Safety Training.
