About the Role

You will be a SME and technical leader in engineering Infrastructure, productivity and enterprise tooling, partnering with globally distributed Engineering, Product and Security teams and systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

The company is seeking a world-class engineer to own the strategy, architecture, and long-term execution of engineering infrastructure, enterprise tooling, and AI-assisted workflow automation. This architect/strategist role drives org-wide improvements in engineering productivity, delivery throughput, quality, security posture, and cost efficiency by building platforms, working practices and automation (including AI/LLM-enabled capabilities) that scale across geographies and time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI-First Automation & Intelligent Tooling: Define and lead an AI-first automation roadmap for Engineering Infrastructure and Enterprise Tooling.
  • Dev Productivity & Enterprise Tooling (Global Scale): Set technical direction and standards for the globally used developer tools, including build systems.
  • Workflow Automation (Cross-Functional, Cross-Geo): Design and implement automation spanning Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Partners.
  • Security, Cost, Performance, and Reliability (Distributed Systems): Embed secure-by-default controls into pipelines and tooling.

This is a highly visible role and you will report directly to a Vice President of Engineering. This requires a very strong technical leader with experience in the development of consumer electronics devices. The right person for this role will have the ability to collaborate well with engineering and partner teams.

We're Excited If You Have

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience at Staff, Principal, or Architect level.
  • Strong, hands-on knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Docker containers, Build systems, Jira, and Test management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering automation at scale.
  • Experience building AI-assisted developer tooling.
  • Extensive experience with software development on embedded Linux.
