We are seeking an experienced and confident Room Leader. This leadership role requires someone who can guide a team, deliver a high‑quality kinder program, and model best practice in child safety, curriculum, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the room and mentor educators in daily practice
- Develop and deliver a rich, play‑based kindergarten program aligned with the VEYLDF
- Oversee documentation, planning cycles, and assessments
- Build strong, respectful relationships with families and the community
- Ensure compliance with NQS, centre policies, and regulatory requirements
- Champion Child Safe Standards and ensure all educators maintain professional boundaries
- Respond appropriately to disclosures, concerns, or risks and follow reporting procedures
- Promote a positive, collaborative team culture
Minimum three years experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Diploma or Bachelor qualification (ACECQA‑approved)
- Minimum 2 years Full ECT registration
- Experience leading a room or kindergarten program
- Strong understanding of VEYLDF, EYLF, and NQS
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
- Confidence in curriculum planning and documentation
- Current WWCC, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis
- Demonstrated commitment to Child Safe Standards and ethical leadership
- Flexible working hours - need to close the centre sometimes
