Mid-Senior Architect – Melbourne

Our Sydney office is situated on the idyllic leafy Queen St., Woollahra, just five minutes’ walk from the famous shopping strip and Centennial Park. The CBD and eastern suburbs are a mere ten minute drive away, and Sydney airport and the North Shore twenty minutes away. You couldn't ask for a better location. Our Melbourne office is a very leisurely two-minute stroll from the renowned café-lined Greville St. We are a five-minute walk to the Prahran Market and Prahran Station and a short drive to all of Melbourne’s freeways. Our office provides an exceptional working environment in a leafy landscape.

The Role

RMA designs exceptional traditional and contemporary residences across Australia. Based either in Melbourne or Sydney, Architects need to be aligned with RMA’s design aesthetic. A willingness and ability to become an expert on our project processes, standards of production and construction documentation is key, as is a desire to contribute to the high standard of design and craftsmanship which the RMA brand is renowned for.

Key Criteria:

• Architect with strong design intuition and natural skill
• Australian registered Architect, desirable
• High-end Residential experience
• Proficient in Revit, Enscape, Microsoft office packages, (Adobe desirable)
• Proficiency in both design and planning as well as construction documentation
• Knowledge of the Victorian and NSW planning codes and BCA/ NCC regulations
• Strong communication, collaboration, imagination, inquisitiveness, commitment, balance, loyalty and empathy are valued traits
• Willingness to take on leadership and participate in a mentorship program
• The ability to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all stages of a project
• Respond to a project brief and budget, with an eye to meeting contractual milestones and client needs and gaining authority approvals
• Work collaboratively with a range of specialist consultants and clients to ensure their input is fully integrated into design and project objectives at all stages
• Generate clear architectural documentation so that projects can be costed, built and completed in accordance with the brief, timeframe, cost and quality objectives
