The Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing efficient and professional customer service to customers, transport operators, and internal stakeholders within a sand plant/quarry environment.
The role involves coordinating customer orders, scheduling deliveries, managing enquiries, and ensuring accurate communication between customers, the plant, weighbridge, and transport teams.
Previous experience in a sand plant, quarry, construction materials, or similar industrial environment is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer enquiries by phone and email.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with plant operations, loading processes, weighbridge procedures, and truck movements.
- Experience coordinating deliveries and working with transport operators.
- Maintain accurate records and order information.
- Assist with resolving customer and delivery issues.
- Support the wider Customer Service and Sales team.
- Follow company procedures for safety, accuracy and customer service.
- Previous experience in a sand plant, quarry, or aggregates business.
- Knowledge of sand/aggregate products and specifications.
- Experience with weighbridge or dispatch systems.
- Experience coordinating truck movements and deliveries.
- Experience working with construction, civil, landscaping, or building industry customers- not essential but highly desirable.
