Business Administration & Compliance Coordinator

Full-Time | Newcastle

Salary negotiable based on experience

A varied role in a growing hospitality business where no two days are the same!

We're looking for an experienced, organised, and proactive Business Administration & Compliance Coordinator to join our growing hospitality group.

This isn't your typical administration role. We're an evolving business with multiple venues, new projects and plenty happening behind the scenes. We need someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership, and confidently manage a diverse range of responsibilities.

Working closely with our CFO and management team, you'll play an important role in keeping our business running smoothly, from financial administration and HR support through to council approvals, liquor licensing, and business compliance.

What you'll be doing

Financial Administration: Supporting the CFO with day-to-day administration, Xero, accounts processing and financial documentation.

Compliance & Approvals: Coordinating development applications (DAs), council approvals, liquor licensing applications, renewals, and other regulatory requirements.

HR & Onboarding: Assisting with recruitment administration, employee documentation, onboarding, and staff records.

Grants & Projects: Researching funding opportunities, supporting grant applications, and assisting with new business initiatives.

Office Administration: Managing general reception duties, correspondence, office supplies, stationery ordering, and administrative support across the business.

What we're looking for

Minimum 2-3 years' experience in administration, business support, or a similar role.

Proven experience using Xero is essential.

Working knowledge of council approvals, development applications and liquor licensing processes will be highly regarded.

Experience supporting HR processes and employee onboarding.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and confidence dealing with external stakeholders.

Someone who takes initiative, works independently, and follows things through.

Experience with grant applications would be a bonus.

We're a growing and evolving hospitality group with an entrepreneurial approach and exciting plans for the future.

You'll work closely with senior management, gain exposure to a broad range of business activities and have the opportunity to make a genuine contribution.

We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy environment, and has a practical, can-do attitude.
