We're on the hunt for a talented Part Time Copywriter to join the Rip Curl crew at our Head Office in Torquay.
This role is all about turning products, campaigns and stories into engaging, customer-focused copy that brings Rip Curl's voice to life across every channel.
Working closely with our Digital, Marketing and Product teams, you'll find the words that connect customers with our brand.
From our latest products and innovations to our athletes and events, you'll tell the stories of The Ultimate Surfing Company and inspire others to live their Search.
What you'll be doing
Write engaging copy for EDMs, paid advertising, social, website and blog content.
Develop campaign messaging, taglines and creative copy.
Own the seasonal product-description process, from briefing through to delivery.
Translate product features, fabrics and innovations into clear customer benefits.
Create campaign and seasonal collection copy decks for use across channels and regions.
Support storytelling and scriptwriting for training and creative projects.
Communicate ESG and B Corp progress through customer-facing content.
Work across Digital, Product and Marketing to keep messaging clear, consistent and unmistakably Rip Curl.
Manage briefs, feedback and approvals across multiple projects and deadlines.
What we're looking for
You'll be a strong writer and editor who knows how to adjust tone, format and messaging for different audiences and channels.
You'll be organised, comfortable collaborating across teams and able to turn technical information into clear, engaging customer stories.
You'll bring
- A tertiary qualification in Communications, PR, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
- 2-3 years' experience in copywriting, communications, PR, marketing or content, either in-house or agency.
- Experience writing and editing across different types of digital content.
- An understanding of digital copywriting and how copy changes by channel.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of surf, beach or outdoor culture, or experience writing product, campaign or sustainability content, would be an advantage.
