It takes courage to navigate complexity and experience to turn it into possibility. When someone is navigating complex systems, the right support can create more than a pathway forward. It can strengthen choice, confidence and control. At Richmind WA, we believe people are the experts in their own lives. We are looking for an experienced Senior Specialist Support Coordinator who can bring together specialist NDIS knowledge, sound judgement and genuine partnership to help people navigate complexity and pursue the life they choose.

This is an opportunity to combine specialist practice with team leadership, supporting participants with complex needs while helping build the capability and confidence of our Capacity Building Services team.

Why this role matters

As our Senior Specialist Support Coordinator, you will work alongside NDIS participants requiring complex or Specialist Support Coordination, helping them understand their options, exercise choice and control, and connect with the right mix of community, mainstream and funded supports. You will also provide leadership within our Capacity Building Services team, motivating, mentoring, training and supporting Psychosocial Recovery Coaches and Support Coordinators to deliver safe, timely and high-quality services. Your work will help ensure that support is not simply about navigating a system. It is about strengthening autonomy, building capacity and creating opportunities for people to shape their own lives.

What you’ll be doing

  • Maintain a caseload of participants requiring complex or Specialist Support Coordination.
  • Work alongside participants to strengthen choice, control and self-determination in how their NDIS supports are understood, coordinated and used.
  • Oversee Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and Support Coordination service delivery, helping ensure services remain independent of direct support provision and protect each participant’s choice and control.
  • Mentor, train and support team members, sharing specialist knowledge and supporting confident, consistent practice.
  • Navigate complex situations with curiosity, sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Build effective connections across community, mainstream and funded services so participants can access supports that reflect their individual goals and circumstances.
  • Contribute to high-quality, recovery-oriented practice that recognises people’s strengths, expertise, relationships and aspirations.

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience providing Support Coordination services to NDIS participants.
  • Strong knowledge of psychosocial recovery-oriented practice and a genuine belief in recovery.
  • The ability to navigate complexity, identify practical solutions and connect people with a broad range of community, funded and mainstream services.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to listen deeply and work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • The ability to organise and manage your workload while working confidently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working towards service targets and KPIs.
  • Sound research and digital skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and client data management systems.
  • A strong commitment to meaningful participation, inclusion and working in ways that reflect Richmind WA's purpose and values.
