Company Background

Our client is a growing, purpose-driven Not-For-Profit organisation with a genuine commitment to making a positive difference around the world.

Operating internationally, the business combines commercial thinking with innovative technology to create meaningful social impact.

At its heart is a forward-thinking, technology-led approach, underpinned by a strong sense of purpose and a genuine desire to give back.

It's an opportunity to join a business where innovation, growth and making a difference go hand in hand.

You’ll be joining a genuinely welcoming, inclusive and energetic team where people are united by a shared passion for making a difference.

The culture is collaborative, social and full of personality, with a unique office environment featuring harbour views, games areas and regular team activities.

You’ll work an appealing mix of hybrid working, with two days working from home on offer each week.

As a growing business, this is an exciting time to come on board, with newly created positions offering the opportunity to take ownership, broaden your skill set and grow alongside the organisation.

You’ll work closely with an approachable leadership team who encourage new ideas, autonomy and continuous improvement.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this Accounts & Payroll Officer position will see you step into a newly created, hands-on position offering plenty of variety across payroll, accounts and broader finance operations.

You’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, working across multiple international markets while having the opportunity to take ownership and improve existing processes.

  • Your responsibilities will include but certainly not be limited to the following:
  • Managing end-to-end payroll activities across global operations, including employee onboarding, new starter setup and payroll changes.
  • Coordinating employee payments, bonuses, commissions, salary packaging, on-call allowances and expense claims.
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller on more complex payroll matters and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, working alongside an offshore team.
  • Reviewing AP/AR transactions, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accuracy across the accounts function.
  • Supporting broader finance and operational activities, including reporting, administration, process improvements and ad-hoc projects.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and contribute to the ongoing development of the finance function.
  • Your Background

We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, proactive, and enjoys working in a broad, hands-on finance role.

You’ll be comfortable getting involved across payroll, accounts and general finance operations, with the confidence to take ownership of your responsibilities while being happy to roll up your sleeves when needed.

  • We are looking for someone who can meet majority of the following criteria:
  • Previous payroll experience is essential, with exposure to international payroll highly regarded.
  • Broad experience across payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general finance administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to investigate discrepancies and suggest process improvements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both local and offshore teams.
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude, with a genuine interest in learning and taking on additional responsibilities.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who brings positive energy, enjoys being part of a close-knit team and is genuinely interested in joining a purpose-driven organisation.

You’ll thrive in an environment where you can make the role your own, contribute ideas and grow alongside the business.
