RIC Safety Audits is a locally owned business that completes safety audits for rental properties around Geelong, Ballarat, Werribee, and the Western Suburbs. Due to building our relationships in Melbourne, specifically the northern and western corridor, we are looking for a new employee to service these new agencies.
Most of the work would be within 30-45 minutes travel from this location, although occasional travel to south-eastern suburbs will be required. RIC Safety Audits is continually growing, and opportunities may open up in rural areas that may also require overnight stays sporadically.
With multiple trust-based partnerships with rental agencies across the region, our reach is expanding, and we are continually onboarding more agencies. We are a tight team and believe in working together to get the best results. Candidates must be team players, sending electricians and plumbers to job sites together when practical to avoid nuisance for the renters.
We test and commission rental properties and keep them safe, including smoke detector checks and minimum standards reporting, and as needed, going into the Essential Service Maintenance (ESM) space for commercial properties. If you are a self-motivated A-grade electrician with a can-do attitude, pride in your work, and a high level of attention to detail, we would love to hear from you.
Main duties and requirements:
- Electrical inspecting, testing, and commissioning of rental properties
- Inspecting, testing, and commissioning of smoke detectors
- Minimum standards and ESM checks
- Reporting of jobs via online software
- Using electrical test equipment and reporting
- Driver's Licence
- A-Grade (Electrical Mechanic Licence) VIC
- Experience in testing installation
- Willingness to travel to job sites as required
What do we offer:
- Good salary packages
- Flexibility in work arrangements
- Work vehicle (for minimum 4 days work)
- Ability to grow within the business
- Offering flexibility to start as a full-time employee or starting as a part-time employee, turning into a full-time role (3-5 days a week)
As our team continues to grow, we envisage a role to supervise and assist fellow team members to achieve their best and complete tasks to the utmost of their potential in the Melbourne region.
