An exciting, industry leading design agency based in Sydney is seeking a Senior Industrial Designer to take ownership of a range of innovative projects from conceptualisation to manufacture. The Role
The successful candidate will lead product design and development from initial concept through to final production. Responsibilities include:
- Concept generation, prototype development, product engineering and close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing partners.
- Take full ownership of projects from concept to manufacture.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance to clients and internal project teams.
- Ensure all deliverables meet the company’s quality management standards.
- Accurately estimate current and future workloads to support planning and resource allocation.
- Conduct thorough technical reviews of designs and documentation to maintain high engineering standards.
- Act as the primary technical contact for clients and project managers.
- Drive continuous improvement in design processes, tools, systems and documentation.
About You
- Circa 10 years' professional experience in industrial or product design.
- Degree in Industrial Design or a related discipline.
- Strong capabilities in product design and development.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and bringing products to market.
- Proficient in design thinking and creative problem-solving.
- Solid project management and organisational abilities.
- Skilled in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and other design tools.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in team environments.
