Strong research skills are the starting point. What really sets people apart is curiosity: about clients, businesses, people and what’s really going on underneath the data. That’s what this role is about.
Join a smart, independent insights consultancy where you can stay close to the research while building the commercial thinking, confidence and client relationships that will take your career to the next level.
The work has real breadth. One week you could be exploring a growth opportunity for a global tech brand, the next digging into customer behavior in financial services, healthcare or government. Projects range from fast-moving Australian studies to larger, more complex multi-market work across the UK, US and APAC.
The role involves helping turn business questions into smart research approaches and meaningful recommendations. You’ll:
- Manage quantitative and mixed-method projects end to end
- Work directly with clients to understand their challenges and objectives
- Contribute to research design, proposals and strategic thinking
- Analyse data using Q and/or SPSS
- Turn findings into clear, commercially relevant insights
- Present back to clients and build strong account relationships
- Support junior researchers
You’ll also have the chance to broaden your toolkit, whether that’s developing qualitative skills, contributing to thought leadership or exploring how AI and different data sources can help answer client questions in smarter ways.
This isn’t a tracker factory or a role where you’ll spend all day buried in delivery. The business has a strong inbound pipeline, so the focus is on doing great work, building client relationships and developing into a more rounded consultant.
About you: You’ll bring proven agency-side research experience, with a strong quantitative foundation and confidence across survey design, analysis and insight development. But beyond the technical skills, you’ll be someone who asks good questions. You’ll want to understand the client’s world, what’s changing in their market, why something matters and what the data is really telling them.
You don’t need to arrive as the finished article. This is a team that will support you to grow from strong researcher into confident consultant and trusted client advisor.
Why join? Flexible hybrid working, additional leave, regular team lunches, strong learning and development, clear progression and a genuinely collaborative team with excellent staff retention. If you’re ready for more variety, more ownership and a bigger seat at the client table, this could be a very smart next move.
