At Relationships Australia Queensland (RAQ), we are proud to be Queensland’s leading provider of relationship and family wellbeing services. Our purpose is to provide individuals and families with the tools and support they need to build happier, healthier lives. Through education, counselling, and community programs, we help people develop the skills and resilience to navigate life’s challenges. Our work promotes care and safety, embracing diversity to foster strong and connected communities.

We are committed to expanding our expertise and leading conversations about relationships, mental health, and social connection. By joining Relationships Australia Queensland, you can be part of a dedicated team making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Property and Asset Manager to lead our Property Services Team and oversee RAQ’s property portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Finance & Assets, you’ll play an important role in making sure our venues and facilities are safe, welcoming and fit for purpose, while ensuring our property, asset and fleet arrangements are managed effectively and deliver value for the organisation.

Just as importantly, you’ll build relationships with the people who work across our venues, taking the time to understand their needs and how our spaces support the services they deliver. You’ll be a familiar and approachable face across RAQ, someone our teams feel comfortable coming to and confident will listen, follow things through and find practical solutions. The role will also involve occasional travel to our regional venues.

Additionally, you will:

  • Shape the strategy: Develop and deliver RAQ’s Property and Asset Management Strategy, finding opportunities to optimise the portfolio and improve asset utilisation.
  • Manage the full leasing lifecycle: Lead negotiations, renewals, rent reviews, surrenders and make-good obligations.
  • Keep facilities running well: Oversee maintenance, compliance, contractor performance and service delivery across our properties.
  • Deliver projects: Lead capital works and operational projects, including venue fit-outs, from procurement and budgeting through to completion.
  • Optimise the fleet: Improve vehicle utilisation, control costs and strengthen operational efficiency.
  • Inform decisions: Provide market insights, financial analysis and clear recommendations to support executive decision-making.
  • Lead your team: Coach and develop the Property and Asset Coordinator, fostering a collaborative and accountable team.

About You

You’re a confident, solutions-focused property professional who sees the big picture without losing sight of the detail. You bring strong commercial acumen and a practical approach, and you’re at ease negotiating outcomes, advising stakeholders and building productive relationships. Additionally, you have:

  • Demonstrated experience in property portfolio management, leasing, asset management and facilities management.
  • A relevant qualification in property, business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation, including Queensland retail leasing, building compliance and workplace health and safety.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including budget management and turning data into practical recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including preparing clear, well-considered advice and reports for senior leaders.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing contractors and service providers.
  • Experience leading, coaching or supporting team members.

We Can Offer You

At RAQ, we believe in supporting our people both inside and outside the workplace. Here’s what you can look forward to as part of our team:

  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a flexible, supportive culture that empowers you to thrive at work and at home.
  • Boost Your Take-Home Pay: Access salary packaging options of up to $15,900 per year, significantly increasing your net income.
  • Extra Time Off: Recharge with 3 additional paid leave days over the Christmas period, on top of your standard annual leave.
  • Annual Leave Loading: Receive extra pay when you take annual leave because your downtime matters.
  • Study Leave: Pursuing further qualifications? We offer up to 2 weeks of paid study leave each year to support your professional growth.
  • Generous Parental Leave: Take the time you need to focus on your family with our paid parental leave program.
  • Wellbeing Support: Benefit from medical insurance discounts and free access to our Employee Assistance Program through Telus Health.

We are committed to a culturally safe and respectful workplace, where inclusion is embedded in how we work and support our people. We warmly encourage applications from First Nations peoples and recognise the value of lived experience in delivering meaningful outcomes for the communities we serve.
