ABOUT THE ROLE
Redpath is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our underground mining maintenance team on a major gold project. In this role, you'll be responsible for the electrical maintenance, diagnostics and repair of a modern fleet of Sandvik underground mining equipment, helping keep our operation safe, reliable and productive. You will work alongside a highly skilled maintenance team in a safety-focused environment, with exposure to a well-maintained fleet of modern underground equipment.
Our Fleet Includes:
- Sandvik development drills
- Sandvik production drills
- Sandvik loaders (LHDs)
- Sandvik underground trucks
- Auxiliary underground support equipment
Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical diagnostics, fault finding and repairs on Sandvik underground equipment
- Perform preventative, planned and scheduled maintenance
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical faults
- Identify and resolve faults efficiently to maximise equipment availability
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site, OEM and Redpath standards
- Complete accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to support safe and efficient operations
- Contribute to a positive culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced Auto Electrician who takes pride in their work and is committed to safe, high-quality maintenance. You will require the following skills and qualifications:
- Australian recognised Auto Electrical trade qualification
- Experience working on underground mining equipment
- Previous experience with Sandvik equipment highly regarded
- Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- A solid understanding of underground mining electrical systems
- A strong commitment to safety, procedures and quality workmanship
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Previous underground mining or heavy industrial experience preferred
