Full‐Time, Permanent | Roster 2/2 | FIFO & DIDO Options Available
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate underground mining crews during shift operations
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with site procedures and statutory regulations
- Monitor production activities to meet daily and weekly targets
- Allocate tasks and manage workforce performance across crews
- Conduct pre‐start meetings and ensure effective shift handovers
- Identify and manage hazards, risks, and safety incidents
- Ensure compliance with mine plans, schedules, and ground support standards
- Complete shift reports, documentation, and production records
- Liaise with senior leadership, technical teams, and other departments
- Mentor and develop operators and leading hands
Qualifications
- Extensive underground mining experience
- Previous experience as a Shift Boss or in a supervisory underground role
- Strong leadership and decision‐making capability
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance
- Sound understanding of underground development and production methods
- Ability to read and interpret mine plans and schedules
- Statutory Shift Boss qualification (WA) or ability to obtain
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to work rotating rosters (e.g. 2/2 or site‐specific roster)
