HR Business Partner in Mildura

Mildura Full-Time On-site
R

We grow, harvest, pack and market citrus, pome fruit, table grapes, stone fruit and kiwifruit from our farms across QLD, NSW, VIC and WA. Our vision is to be the producer of the world’s most desired fruit – that means we’re passionate about having the right people in the right roles.

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced HR Business Partner to join our People Team, based in the Mildura region. Working alongside our existing Farming HR Business Partner, you’ll provide dedicated HR support to our farming operations, partnering closely with farm managers and operational leaders across multiple sites. You’ll play a key role in employee relations, recruitment, workforce planning and leadership development, helping our farming teams build engaged, capable and high-performing workforces.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with operational teams, with travel to farm sites required.

Role Responsibilities

Partner with farm managers and operational leaders to provide practical, timely HR advice and support across farming operations.

Manage employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes.

Lead recruitment and onboarding activities, supporting managers to attract, select and retain quality employees.

Support workforce planning, succession planning and talent development to meet seasonal and ongoing operational requirements.

Provide guidance on employment legislation, Modern Awards, HR policies and compliance obligations.

Identify training and development needs, supporting initiatives that strengthen leadership capability and employee performance.

Champion employee engagement, wellbeing and positive workplace culture across farming sites.

Skills and Experience

Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR Business Partner or HR advisory role, ideally within agriculture, horticulture or another operational, multi‑site environment.

Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and Modern Awards.

Proven ability to manage employee relations matters and provide practical, solutions‑focused advice to managers.

Experience supporting recruitment, workforce planning and employee development initiatives.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse operational teams.

Strong organisational skills, adaptability and the ability to work independently across multiple locations.

Relevant qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
