About The Company

Our client is a long-established Canberra accounting and advisory firm. As part of a wider group, they advise business owners, high net worth individuals, families and private companies Australia-wide. Alongside bookkeeping, business and individual tax compliance and corporate registry services, they specialise in high-level advisory work, including estate and succession strategy, asset protection and structuring, and transaction structuring. They work closely with their superannuation and financial planning businesses to deliver truly integrated advice, not just tax.

Their culture is built on five core values: Team, Responsive, Inclusive, Balanced and Engaging. They hunt in packs rather than working in silos, and they back their senior people with genuine independence, flexibility and responsibility. When it counts, leadership protects both the team member and the client.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to manage a substantial portfolio of business clients and high net worth individuals. You will own each client relationship and lead every assignment from the first request for information through to completion and follow-up.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on tax law changes arising from the Budget
  • Managing your workflow, client deadlines and quarterly compliance
  • Leading tax and accounting assignments in Xero from start to finish
  • Supporting directors on structures, asset protection and estate planning
  • Assisting with management reporting, business decisions and annual valuations

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong Xero skills and clear client communication
  • A mature, client-focused approach with strong integrity
  • Solid Australian public practice experience across tax and accounting
  • The curiosity to look beyond the task and understand what the numbers mean

What's in it for You?

  • Values-Led Culture That Prioritises Wellbeing
  • Inclusive Team That Hunts in Packs | No Silos
  • Independence & Flexibility | Real Responsibility
  • Own the Client Relationship with Leadership Support
  • Grow into Complex Advisory Work Alongside the Directors
