The Role:
As a community-based team, we predominantly see our clients in their homes, group homes, aged care facilities or in a public setting relevant to them. We want to see our clients where they are most comfortable and that's relevant to their goals.
Some of our team schedule a full day of seeing 3 or 4 clients one day, then balance this the next by working from home or having an office day to write reports, prepare resources, and have supervision/training. A community role allows you genuine flexibility and control over how you structure your days.
You will gain variety in this role as you service a predominantly adult, NDIS & DVA caseload (12 years old and up) living with:
- Developmental disabilities (autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, Down syndrome)
- Neurological conditions (stroke, acquired brain injury, brain tumour, multiple sclerosis)
- Degenerative diseases (Parkinson’s disease, MS, motor neurone disease, Huntington’s disease, dementia)
In your Grad Program you will:
- Support clients with life skills such as budgeting, shopping, travel, cooking, pressure care, sensory, cognitive re-training, prescribing equipment and assistive tech, upper limb + fine & gross motor therapy, plus home assessments and modifications.
- Sharpen your clinical reasoning and become proficient in completing comprehensive assessments and reporting.
Along with the freedom to work from home, we have clinics in Toronto and Maitland, ensuring you see clients in your area. You can also choose to use the office for appointments, report writing, and spending time with your Supervisor and fellow new Grads.
How We Make an Impact:
Recovery Station provides community and clinic-based allied health services, focusing on disability and senior health. For over 20 years, we have grown and now proudly offer services across Sydney, the Hunter, Central Coast, Tamworth and nationally via telepractice.
Together, our passionate multidisciplinary team collaboratively shares their knowledge and experience to design an individualised service to help improve the quality of life for people living with a disability or looking to age as independently as possible.
Be Part of Something Bigger:
We have limited positions remaining for our 2027 graduate program working from either our Maitland, Toronto or Erina Hubs. If we haven't covered something important to you, reach out via our website or at our contact email, and we'll be happy to tell you more!
