Extruder Operator in Dubbo

We are excited to welcome our newest Production Operator to our Dubbo Manufacturing Site - where we manufacture Australia's tastiest pet foods including Ivory Coat, Trilogy, Fussy Cat and Stockman and Paddock. Specifically, this role is an Extruder Operator and in this role you will be part of a fun and fast-paced environment with a team that is down to earth and who enjoy good banter! This role is covered by our Dubbo EBA so you will be one of our valued hourly workers. Working hours are Mon-Fri 6.55am-3.00pm. The hourly rate is $29.16 per hour plus super. There will also be penalties for overtime if required. This is a permanent role.

Our Extruder Operators operate and monitor machinery that uses heat, pressure, moisture and mechanical force to process raw ingredients into a finished food product. The role involves controlling the extrusion process to ensure the product meets quality, safety, consistency and production targets.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Conduct regular equipment inspections to maintain operational safety standards.
• Adhere to company and health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Valid forklift operator certification desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience as a production operator, preferably within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• A passionate commitment to adhering to, maintaining and promoting safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This role involves manual handling tasks and the operation of heavy machinery, necessitating physical stamina and adherence to safety standards. Candidates should be prepared to work in various temperatures and environments within the factory. A pre‑employment medical (including Drug and Alcohol Testing) is part of our recruitment process.
