At the heart of everything we do, is a thriving culture centred around high performance and care. We are purpose driven and collaborative, which drives innovation and our ability to make a real impact.

This role sits within our Employee Experience team as part of the broader People & Culture business unit. Our team is accountable for how our people experience REA across every moment that matters - from joining, growing and developing, through to moving on. We bring together people operations, platforms, reporting and experience design to deliver simple, scalable and human-centred services that make it easy for employees and leaders to get things done.

The People Systems Analyst plays a key role in supporting & optimising REA's Workday environment and broader People Platforms ecosystem.

What the role is all about:

  • Support the ongoing operation and optimisation of Workday and connected people systems, with a focus on reliability, data quality and user experience.
  • Maintain configuration across relevant Workday modules (HCM, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Absence & Time Tracking), including tenant setup, business processes, security, integrations, reporting and mass data activities.
  • Support exploration and adoption of new platform capability, including AI-enabled features and other opportunities to improve how work gets done.
  • Work alongside our stakeholders to understand business needs, solve problems and deliver fit-for-purpose platform improvements.
  • Investigate issues, assess impacts and translate requirements into practical system changes, workarounds or recommendations.
  • Coordinate release activity, testing and deployment to ensure changes are implemented safely and effectively.
  • Manage requests and system incidents end to end, escalating where needed and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Contribute to process simplification, automation and self-service improvements that reduce manual effort and improve employee and leader experience.
  • Represent the People Systems team on key projects for People & Culture.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Broad knowledge of the HR Tech landscape.
  • At least 2 years hands-on experience configuring Workday HCM (in-house or consulting) across multiple functional areas.
  • Proven experience configuring business processes, security, reporting and data loads; exposure to integrations is an advantage.
  • Understanding of people processes and how they translate into practical system design.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, manage requests, ticketing triage and resolution.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and prioritisation skills, with the ability to balance BAU support and project delivery.
  • A proactive, curious and detail-oriented approach, with a continuous improvement mindset and a strong focus on user experience.
  • Experience with (or displayed interest in) automations, AI best practice & agents is advantageous.

The physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we’ll never stop caring about. This is a place to learn and grow. Some of our Perks & Benefits include:

  • A hybrid and flexible approach to working.
  • Flexible leave options including, birthday leave and purchase additional leave.
  • Flexible parental leave offering for primary and secondary carers.
  • Our Because We Care program offers employees volunteering leave, community grants, matched payroll giving and our Community Café donates 100% of revenue to charity.
  • Hackdays so you can bring your big ideas to life.

We are committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity, equity and inclusion. We believe teams with diverse ideas and experiences are more creative, more effective and fuel disruptive thinking.
