Re-Boot IT Solutions in Townsville is looking for a motivated and experienced Computer & Mobile Phone Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues across laptops, desktop computers, smartphones and tablets.
- Perform data recovery, privacy and security audits, virus and malware removal, and general software troubleshooting.
- Apply basic cybersecurity knowledge to help protect customer devices and data.
- Provide technical advice, product guidance and support to customers.
- Identify technical problems and recommend effective repair solutions.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional work environment.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies, devices and industry repair techniques.
- Follow company policies, procedures and quality standards to ensure excellent service delivery.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as a computer and mobile phone technician.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience diagnosing and repairing a variety of electronic devices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of operating systems, hardware components, software applications and basic cybersecurity practices.
- A customer-focused attitude and the ability to explain technical issues in clear, easy-to-understand language.
- The ability to work independently as well as contribute positively to a team.
- Flexibility and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Availability to work two Saturdays per month as part of the regular roster.
- A genuine passion for technology and a willingness to continually develop your technical skills.
