ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team in a full-time capacity. You will work closely with our Partners and Accountants while managing your own client portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Payroll processing and STP reporting
- Superannuation processing and compliance
- Assisting with preparation of financial reports
- Liaising directly with clients via phone, email and meetings
- Assisting clients with software queries & usage
This is an in office position - with some flexibility available for the right candidate.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in bookkeeping or public practice accounting within an Australian firm
- Proven experience preparing and lodging BAS for multiple clients
- Strong working knowledge of both Xero and MYOB
Additionally, you will have:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple clients confidently
- A proactive and positive attitude
- The ability to work effectively within a team
- Experience with Handisoft and other accounting software will be highly regarded.
