Build communities. Start conversations. Create social content people actually care about.
We're looking for a Social Media Lead who understands that great social isn't about posting more content.
It's about creating content that earns attention, sparks conversation, builds communities, and drives measurable business outcomes.
You live and breathe social.
You know what's trending, what's already dead, what brands should lean into, and what they should absolutely stay away from.
You understand the difference between creating content for engagement and creating content that converts, and you know how to do both, and how to explain the benefits of brand building content versus sales driving content.
Most importantly, you know how to build an always-on social presence that gives people a reason to follow, engage, share and come back for more.
What you'll do
- Lead the social strategy for a portfolio of always-on clients.
- Develop content plans, content pillars and channel strategies that drive engagement, community growth and brand relevance.
- Create proactive content opportunities that make for a distinctive brand on social.
- React quickly to emerging conversations, cultural moments and social trends.
- Build communities around brands through meaningful engagement and conversation.
- Work closely with Creative and Media teams to develop social-first ideas.
- Adapt broader brand creative into platform-specific social content that performs.
- Identify opportunities to test, learn and optimise content based on performance.
- Develop influencer and creator strategies that feel authentic to the brand and audience.
- Manage influencer relationships, talent negotiations, briefing, approvals and campaign delivery.
- Turn high-performing organic content into paid social opportunities that drive leads, conversions and sales.
- Work with media teams to scale successful organic content through paid support.
- Report on performance, uncover insights and continually evolve strategies to improve results.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years leading social media strategy and content creation for brands with always-on social activity.
- Strong understanding of content that drives engagement, community growth and brand affinity.
- Experience planning and delivering content calendars across multiple platforms.
- Deep understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Linked In, You Tube and emerging channels.
- Proven experience running influencer and creator campaigns from strategy through to execution.
- Strong understanding of community management and audience engagement.
- Ability to spot trends early and determine what's right for a brand, and what's not.
- Strong copywriting and content ideation skills.
- Commercial mindset with experience using social content to drive business results, not just vanity metrics.
- Comfortable working with performance media teams to amplify content through paid channels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.
- What will make you stand out
- You've built social-first campaigns that prove you can take a broader brand or advertising campaign and adapt it into content that feels native to social, drives engagement, and sparks conversation.
- Your portfolio demonstrates idea-led social work that goes beyond repurposing assets, creating distinctive content that expands a brand's personality, relevance and connection with its audience.
- You've successfully delivered influencer and creator campaigns, matching the right talent to the right brief, managing relationships throughout the process, and producing content that feels authentic, engaging and true to the brand.
- You understand how to turn organic social success into commercial outcomes, identifying content worth amplifying through paid media to drive awareness, leads, conversions and sales.
- You know that what works in advertising doesn't always work on social.
You can work within an established creative direction while confidently evolving it to maximise engagement, participation and community growth.
The kind of person you'll be
You're naturally curious. You're constantly watching, saving, analysing and learning from what brands, creators and communities are doing online.
You're equal parts strategist and creator. You can build the plan, create the content, engage with the audience and explain why it worked.
Most importantly, you understand that social media isn't a channel. It's a conversation.
And you know how to help brands become part of it.
In return we offer
- A competitive salary package
- A vibrant, energetic and experienced team who wear their media passion on their sleeves.
