- Handle day‑to‑day security operations and support the CISO with incident response and recovery.
Requirements and skills:
Raspberry Pi values pragmatic, independent thinkers who are comfortable engaging with external customers and partners, as well as internal stakeholders at all levels of seniority. We operate in a highly collaborative work environment, and the successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates should also have the following:
- Several years’ experience in infrastructure or network engineering.
- A strong Linux system administration background, ideally on Debian- and Red‑Hat‑based systems.
- Knowledge of ZFS and NFS.
- Knowledge of Netgear and Cisco (or similar) networking equipment, and of common network and security topologies: switching, VLANs, routing, segmentation, firewalls, VPN, and Wi‑Fi.
- Experience programming in Python and Bash and managing infrastructure as code (Ansible or Terraform).
- Experience with Google Workspace single sign‑on (SAML or OIDC), SCIM provisioning, and multi‑factor authentication, including security keys.
- Experience running backup and recovery, including regular restore testing.
- A preference for open‑source tools, with a sound understanding of security fundamentals.
- Good documentation habits.
Experience in the following would also be beneficial:
- Designing and building networks from scratch.
- Using open‑source monitoring tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Contributing to open‑source projects.
