Our client is a large and diverse organisation delivering essential services across multiple locations. With a busy finance function supporting a substantial workforce, they are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join the team on a 6-month contract and provide immediate support across payroll and finance operations.
Your New Role
This is a hands-on Finance Officer position with a strong payroll focus. You'll spend around 60% of your time supporting payroll processing and compliance, with the remainder dedicated to reconciliations, journals, reporting and month-end activities.
Key duties include:
- Fortnightly payroll processing and timesheet administration.
- Reconciliations, journals and general ledger support.
- Assisting with month-end reporting and BAS preparation.
- Maintaining payroll and financial data within TechnologyOne.
- Supporting ad hoc finance projects and team initiatives.
What you need to succeed
You will be an experienced Finance, Payroll or Accounts professional with a strong understanding of payroll processing, financial administration and month-end support. Confident working within ERP systems and operating in a fast-paced environment, you'll be ready to make an immediate impact from the outset.
