The City of Onkaparinga operates the Noarlunga Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC), a leading community facility in southern Adelaide. Each year, we welcome around 300,000 visitors. The centre includes a 25m lap and program pool, a family pool, a fully equipped gym, squash courts, multi-purpose sports courts and a busy kiosk. About the role
As instructor in charge, you lead the Learn to Swim program. You deliver lessons, mentor instructors and ensure safe, effective program delivery.
Key responsibilities
- teach swimming and water safety skills
- plan and adapt lessons for all abilities
- assess swimmer progress and provide feedback
- support and mentor instructors
- oversee daily program operations
- promote the Watch Around Water program
What you bring
- strong teaching skills and passion for water education
- experience leading or supervising a team
- ability to engage children and adults
Qualifications and requirements
- AUSTSWIM (or equivalent) Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
- Provide First Aid and CPR
- Working with Children Check
- Child Safe Environments training
