Pay Rate: $34.96 per hour (Casual)
Start Date: 9 November 2026
Hours: Typically starting at 6:30am, weather dependent.
WHV: Eligible for 88-day specified work requirements.
We are seeking multiple Field Quality Controllers to work outdoors in orchards, monitoring fruit quality across cherry, stone fruit and apple operations. This is a hands‑on, outdoor role ensuring produce meets required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect fruit for quality, pests, diseases and defects.
- Conduct quality testing and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate quality standards to field teams.
- Identify and report quality issues.
- Support teams in meeting quality and production targets.
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle essential.
- Must be available to commence 9 November 2026.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Previous horticulture experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use an iPad.
- Ability to identify fruit defects and assess quality.
- Experience with retailer standards or Fresh Cloud advantageous.
