We are seeking a highly organised, resilient Nominations & Regulatory Services Officer with a strong communications focus to coordinate, consolidate, and distribute key external content for an upcoming major general election. Working in a fast-paced, heavily legislated integrity body, this role acts as the central bridge between subject matter experts, executive stakeholders, design teams, and third-party vendors. You will ensure all external candidate bulletins, website updates, and candidate education webinars are delivered accurately, on schedule, and in plain English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, consolidate, and track sequential external communications (newsletters, bulletins, and site updates) using established templates and brand guidelines.
  • Translate complex statutory, legal, and legislative requirements into clear, accessible, and accurate plain-English guidance for candidates and stakeholders.
  • Lead logistical coordination for a series of 10 candidate and electoral webinars, serving as the main liaison between internal presenters, design teams, and third-party delivery vendors.
  • Manage document reviews, feedback loops, and executive sign-off processes via Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Compile webinar engagement statistics, aggregate Q&A records for public release, and send follow-up attendee communications.

Key Requirements & Experience:

  • Proven ability to draft clear plain-English content and manage structured publication schedules.
  • High degree of interpersonal diplomacy, patience, and professional resilience when managing multi-layered executive review loops and frequent editorial revisions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Teams (approvals), and SharePoint (document management).
  • Exceptional time-management skills to track overlapping content pipelines under tight statutory deadlines.

Mandatory Eligibility & Operational Terms:

  • Australian Citizenship is required (must be eligible for registration on the electoral roll as an official election worker).
  • Strictly politically neutral with no personal affiliation or involvement with political parties, campaigners, or lobbying entities.

Office & Availability Constraints:

  • 5 days per week in-office (Sydney CBD).
  • Ability to work extended hours (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM) and potential 6-day weeks (including Saturdays) during operational peak windows (January to March).
  • Strict leave restrictions apply during peak operational months (January to March).

Background Check: Appointment is subject to a satisfactory criminal record check.
