About the Role
This role leads both the strategic and operational HR functions for the Australian region, supporting a mix of manufacturing sites and corporate teams. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will partner directly with the local General Manager to drive regional growth while being supported by a robust global HR infrastructure!
Your Role
- Strategic HR Advisory: Guide the GM and site leadership teams on organisational design, headcount planning, change management, and growth initiatives.
- Industrial & Employee Relations: Act as the primary lead for all local ER/IR matters. Confidently manage dispute resolution, grievances, disciplinary processes, and compliance with Modern Awards.
- Performance & Talent Development: Roll out performance frameworks, leadership training, and career pathing. Coach people leaders on compliant documentation and risk mitigation during redundancies or terminations.
- Talent Acquisition: Own local talent attraction and employer branding to meet fast-paced hiring requirements across both blue-collar and white-collar departments.
- HR Operations & Governance: Build and scale HR processes (HRIS, onboarding, offboarding). Oversee governance, superannuation compliance, local contract management, and annual remuneration reviews.
- Data & Analytics: Track and report on regional HR metrics (turnover, engagement, trends) to drive data-backed business decisions.
About You
- Experience: Background operating as both a strategic and operational HR Business Partner, with experience managing the full employee lifecycle across blue-collar and white-collar environments.
- IR/ER: A strong, practical understanding of Australian labour laws, Modern Awards, and ER case management.
- Stakeholder engagement: Adept at partnering with and influencing site leaders within fast-paced, operational environments.
- Culture: Driven to join a great organisation with a strong, values-driven culture, where you can actively contribute to building a high-performing and inclusive environment.
