Clique Logistics does things differently. They are completely carrier-independent, owning no transport assets, meaning their focus is purely on building unbiased, high-value freight management solutions that save clients time and money. They operate with genuine care, zero ego, and a commitment to always doing the right thing by their clients and team.
Clique Logistics is now looking for a new Sales Director. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will own and drive Clique’s new business sales engine. This is a strategic player-coach position designed to close the leadership gap in the sales function by setting the standard, mentoring the sales team to consultative excellence, and personally converting enterprise-level tenders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Mentor the Sales Team: Provide daily, hands-on, in-office coaching, training, and 1-on-1s for two Business Development Executives, driving high standards, accountability, and consultative excellence.
- Lead Complex Major Deals: Personally run the consultative sales cycle on major accounts, RFPs, and strategic tenders, converting high-value opportunities to deliver our team revenue targets.
- Establish Sales Cadence: Run weekly sales rhythms, pipeline reviews, CRM coaching, and discovery audits aligned with our value proposition.
- Drive Commercial Quality: Steer the team toward gross-profit-quality revenue focusing on margin, cost-to-serve, and lifetime account value, not just top-line volume.
- Shape the sales system: Act as business owner of Clique OS, our purpose-built sales platform covering the full customer lifecycle from lead to managed account. Own the sales playbook, value proposition and BDE training program that run on it, and shape how the platform evolves with the product team.
Skills & Experience
- High performing sales leader across B2B industries: Industry freight or logistics experience is a plus, but not required.
- Proven Consultative Mastery: Deep, demonstrable craft in consultative/SPIN selling built through real-world execution.
- Tender & RFP Success: A proven track record leading and winning complex, high-value B2B tenders (deals valued at $1M+).
- True Coaching Mindset: Demonstrated ability and passion for lifting junior/mid-level sales reps rather than simply carrying the quota solo.
- Commercial Acumen: A sharp understanding of margins, payback, and cost-to-serve.
- High Standards & Discipline: Strong leadership presence that thrives in an in-office, collaborative environment and builds disciplined, repeatable sales habits.
Benefits
- Competitive salary package including attractive commission scheme.
- Relocation Support: Assistant available for the right interstate candidate.
- Structured Executive Growth: Clear milestones to expand your remit to full revenue leadership (hunting + farming) across the business.
- Comprehensive Onboarding: Dedicated 90-day onboarding program to install logistics domain expertise, (Clique OS, MachShip, CargoWise Neo), and core value framework.
- Direct Access & Impact: Work directly alongside the MD to shape the long-term commercial direction of an established, ambitious business.
