About the Role
We are looking for reliable forklift drivers to join our clients specializing in sensitive freight. You will operate both Counterbalance and High Reach forklifts safely and efficiently. This role offers regular Monday to Friday hours with ongoing opportunities for strong performers.
Role: Storeperson - LF Operator
Location: Altona, VIC
Pay Rate: $35 per hour + super
Shift times: 10am - 6pm
Key Responsibilities
- Forklift Operation & Sensitive Freight: Safely drive Counterbalance (70%) and High Reach (30%) forklifts to move fragile or valuable items. Move and stack goods carefully to protect stock from damage.
- Security Procedures: Follow secure warehouse rules, use tamper-proof seals, and complete handoff checks to keep track of secure items.
- Inventory Scanning & Stock Checks: Use RF scanners and warehouse software to scan items. Record serial numbers, batch codes, and load details accurately.
- Pre-Start Checks & Load Securing: Complete daily safety checks on forklifts before use. Strap, wrap, and secure loads to prevent movement during transport.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Follow Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) rules. Keep work areas and loading docks clean and clear of rubbish.
What We Are Looking For
- Freight Experience: Min 1 year of experience handling fragile, high-value, or sensitive items.
- Forklift License (LF): Proven skill driving both Counterbalance and High Reach forklifts safely in narrow aisles.
- Attention to Detail: Accurate with scanner use, paperwork checks, and stock tracking.
- Reliability & Work Ethic: Punctual, focused on safety protocols, and able to work well under busy warehouse conditions.
