Are you an experienced data specialist with expertise in spatial, asset, or transport network data looking to make an impact on a landmark automation project? An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for a Senior Advisor (Network Data) to join a high-performing project team dedicated to enabling accurate automated access decisions across road networks. In this role, you will take ownership of network data readiness, coordinate inputs from diverse asset owners, and support the translation of complex operational rules into enduring, implementation-ready data structures.
What You Will Do:
-
Establish and maintain a consolidated, release-wide view of network and data readiness across automated access system releases and vehicle classifications.
-
Coordinate the collection, analysis, validation, and conversion of road, route, structure, restriction, condition, and business-rule data across multiple asset owners and operational stakeholders.
-
Assess dataset completeness, consistency, traceability, and operational fitness, actively identifying data gaps, quality issues, dependencies, and remediation requirements.
-
Support the translation of existing access arrangements, operational conditions, and decision logic into system-ready data structures and configuration inputs.
-
Provide data inputs and evidence packs for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system validation, and defect triage, supporting a smooth transition to enduring business owners.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
-
Demonstrated experience in transport network data, spatial/GIS or asset information, data quality assurance, and network access management.
-
Sound understanding of how road, route, structure, restriction, condition, and operational data support access decisions and system configuration.
-
Proven ability to analyse and reconcile complex information from multiple sources, identify dependencies, and apply structured quality-assurance frameworks.
-
Practical background supporting system implementation lifecycles, including data conversion, UAT, defect resolution, and business transition.
-
Highly developed stakeholder coordination and communication skills, with a proven ability to produce technical documentation, data lineage artefacts, and executive briefings.
