The Role

As their project pipeline continues to grow, they are seeking experienced Project Managers to join their high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in high-profile projects while growing your career with a company that truly values its people, their expertise, and their craft.

Core Project Delivery

  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead the project life cycle from initial tender handover and value engineering through to practical completion and the end of the defects liability period.
  • Programming & Scheduling: Develop and manage baseline programs, ensuring critical path milestones are met and proactively identifying potential delays.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee Project Quality Plans (PQP) to ensure all builds exceed the National Construction Code (NCC) and client-specific requirements.

Financial & Contractual Management

  • BIF Act Compliance: Manage all project finances in strict accordance with the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017, ensuring payment schedules are issued accurately and on time.
  • Budgetary Control: Conduct monthly cost-to-complete forecasting and reporting, ensuring the project maintains or improves upon the original tendered margin.
  • Procurement: Review the negotiations and letting of major trade packages, ensuring "back-to-back" contractual terms that mitigate head-contract risks.

Safety & Compliance

  • WHS Leadership: Drive a "safety first" culture on-site, ensuring all works comply with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) regulations and the company’s safety management system in partnership with your safety manager and onsite advisors.
  • QBCC Alignment: Ensure all site activities and sub-contractor engagements align with Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) licensing requirements.

Stakeholder & People Management

  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the Principal/Client, providing transparent reporting and managing expectations regarding program and cost.
  • Consultant Coordination: Direct the design team (architects, engineers, etc.) to ensure buildability and timely release of "Issued for Construction" (IFC) documentation.
  • Leadership: Manage and mentor the project team, including Site Managers and Contract Administrators, to foster a high-performance culture.
