Roadhaven Cafe, located within the bp Marmor Truckstop, is seeking team members with short order cooking or kitchen hand experience for our Service Station & Diner Cafe, located at Marmor on the Bruce Highway, 25 minutes south of Rockhampton. This role would suit a candidate with experience in the fast food, club, pub or cafe industry.
The site is experiencing fantastic growth with a new "Fresh Is Best" food range which is seeing great improvements in providing a better experience and food offer to our customers. We are currently looking at filling casual roles across mornings, afternoons, overnights and weekend shifts. Potential full-time positions are available to suitable candidates.
There is NO Public Transport to this location! Candidates must have reliable transport. Full Award Wages & Conditions apply.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Hands-on customer service when required (training provided)
- Basic food preparation
- Short order cooking from a basic pub style menu
- Preparing fresh food for & maintaining hot and cold display presentation
- Portion control to company standards
- Following company set procedures including recipe cards & display planograms
- Compliance with all OHS & Council Food Law requirements
The position requires the following:

Excellent online & hands-on training provided to successful candidates. NO VISA SPONSORSHIPS AVAILABLE but student visa holders will be considered. Holiday visa applicants must already reside in the local area and have a minimum of 12 months remaining on the visa length.
