We're excited to welcome a Pharmacy Assistant Senior - Maleny to our Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital Pharmacy Department. This role primarily provides high level inventory and materials management support to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective use of medicines within the Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital. The position requires a high level of expertise in pharmaceutical procurement, inventory control, stock monitoring, medicine distribution, shortage management and supply chain coordination, while supporting compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with medication order and prescription preparation including iPharmacy dispensing and use of cancer care and other compounding electronic systems.
- Support the safe and effective operation of electronic medication management systems including automated dispensing systems.
- Conduct inventory management within hospital and health services facilities including ordering, receiving, storage, distribution and stocktake of medicines.
- Provide a defined range of clinical support tasks for patients relating to components of the medicines management cycle, in line with professional standards with appropriate training, supervision and competency assessment.
Remuneration value up to $46,763 p.a, comprising salary rates $38.36 - $41.34 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (CA4) (part time position available, 38 hrs p.f.).
