Are you passionate about empowering local businesses, driving regional economic growth, and bringing data to life to help tell a story? QPRC is recruiting for this new position to join our Economic Development and Marketing team.
In this role you will:
- Identify the right training for local businesses, and organise workshops, networking events and coordinate our Business Awards program.
- Work on projects to attract business investment to the region and implement 'shop local' retail industry support programs.
- Develop and implement a communications plan for our team to reach local businesses, including writing and distributing newsletters, and managing our CRM.
- Support a diverse range of industries, including contributing to the administration and operations of the Braidwood Saleyards.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a relevant bachelor's degree and experience applying their knowledge in areas such as business, marketing, tourism or similar.
- Understands the opportunities and challenges for small-medium businesses and is a strong communicator and collaborator.
- Can understand and interpret economic and demographic data to support effective decision making.
- Is 'hands on' and prepared to take on unexpected economic development projects across a range of industries.
