We’re looking for a proactive and organised Finance Administrator to join our team in a cross-functional finance role, working across Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. While Accounts Receivable and debt collection will be a key focus, this isn’t a role that sits within one finance function. You’ll work across AR and AP, moving between priorities as required and taking ownership of the tasks that need to get done.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing Accounts Receivable and maintaining accurate customer accounts
  • Proactively following up overdue accounts and chasing outstanding debt
  • Speaking with customers regarding payments, account queries and outstanding balances
  • Receipting and allocating customer payments
  • Following up payment commitments and resolving discrepancies
  • Completing account and bank reconciliations
  • Processing supplier invoices and payments
  • Managing supplier queries and account reconciliations
  • Working across both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable as business priorities require
  • Maintaining accurate financial data and completing high-volume data entry
  • Working with different teams across the business to resolve account and invoice queries

What we’re looking for:

  • Accounts Receivable, credit control or finance administration experience
  • Accounts Payable experience
  • Confidence chasing outstanding debt and having payment conversations with customers
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • A flexible and team-focused approach
  • The ability to shift priorities when the finance team needs it
  • Accounts Payable experience would be highly regarded
  • Confidence using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

Why this role?

If you like variety, this is a great opportunity to build broader experience across the finance function. AR and debt collection will be a key part of your role, but you’ll also work across AP and other finance activities depending on where the priorities are. You’ll suit this role if you’re great with customers, comfortable chasing debt, strong with the detail and happy working across different areas to get the job done.
