For over 30 years, QHVSG has provided specialist care, counselling, case management, peer support and court support to the loved ones of homicide victims across Queensland.
Grounded in compassion, dignity and respect, we walk alongside our members through the aftermath of homicide—offering trauma‑informed, grief‑aware support from the earliest days of loss through complex criminal justice processes.
We work closely with Queensland Police Service (QPS), the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), Victim Assist Queensland (VAQ), the courts and a broad network of community services.
Our Peer Supporters—people with lived experience of homicide—are central to how we build connection, belonging and hope.
