Job Description

About the role

We’re looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our collaborative payroll team and support payroll operations across multiple countries and jurisdictions. This role is ideal for someone with payroll administration experience who is keen to build on their exposure to global payroll environments and enjoys working with complex, high-volume data.

You’ll play a key role in supporting end-to-end payroll processes, liaising with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers, and ensuring payroll data is accurate, compliant and delivered on time across multiple regions. If you enjoy working with data, thrive in a detail-oriented environment, and are excited by the potential of AI and technology to enhance payroll operations, we'd love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support global payroll processing activities across multiple countries, including data validation, reporting, payroll calculations and reconciliations.

  • Maintain payroll reports, including end‑of‑month and end‑of‑year support.

  • Respond to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders across different regions with accuracy and care.

  • Maintain strong attention to detail when handling sensitive payroll and employee data.

  • Assist with payroll system testing, upgrades and enhancements.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency, including using AI and automation tools.

  • Support documentation, templates and standardised reporting to strengthen controls and governance.

About you

You will be someone who actively engages with the team, with a passion for working collaboratively, streamlining processes and ensuring data is accurate. You will likely have:

  • Experience in payroll administration, ideally supporting multiple countries or international payroll operations.

  • Exposure working with global payroll legislation, taxation or compliance requirements across different jurisdictions.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality and data integrity.

  • Comfortable working to deadlines in a structured, process‑driven environment.

  • Strong Excel and system skills, including data validation, reconciliations, reporting and analysis.

  • A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach, with a genuine desire to deliver great service.

  • An interest in leveraging AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve payroll operations and employee experience.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
