At Pyramid Residential Care Centre (PRCC), we're looking for a motivated, compassionate and experienced Clinical Care Lead to join our team in Gordonvale, just south of Cairns. We're not your typical aged care facility. We're a community-focused, not-for-profit organisation that prides itself on providing exceptional resident care in a relaxed, welcoming and homely environment.

Why You'll Love Working With Us!

  • Salary Packaging Benefits – As a not-for-profit organisation, eligible employees can access salary packaging benefits, potentially increasing their take-home pay.
  • Fun, Friendly & Supportive Environment – Join a welcoming team that enjoys working together, celebrates achievements and supports one another.
  • Relaxed, Homely Atmosphere – Enjoy working in a facility that feels more like a home than an institution.
  • Beautiful Tropical Surroundings – Our Gordonvale facility is surrounded by lush gardens and spacious grounds.
  • Community-Focused Values – Be part of an organisation with strong local roots and a genuine commitment to its residents and community.
  • Make a Real Difference – Have the opportunity to positively influence resident outcomes, mentor staff and shape the delivery of quality care.
  • Professional Growth & Leadership – Put your experience to good use, share your knowledge and help develop a confident, capable clinical team.
  • A Workplace Where You're Valued – Work alongside a team that recognises the importance of compassion, respect, teamwork and a positive workplace culture.

About the Opportunity

As our Clinical Care Lead, you'll play an important leadership role in ensuring our residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care. Working closely with our clinical management team, you'll provide hands-on clinical leadership, mentor nursing and care staff, and help maintain a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement. This is a full-time position, five days per week, suited to an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys balancing clinical expertise with team leadership and genuinely cares about achieving great outcomes for residents.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing day-to-day clinical leadership, guidance and support to Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers.
  • Promoting safe, compassionate and person-centred care that respects residents' individual needs and preferences.
  • Overseeing clinical assessments, care planning, case management and documentation.
  • Supporting clinical governance, quality improvement and compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Monitoring clinical outcomes, managing risks and supporting best-practice care.
  • Mentoring, coaching and developing staff to build a positive, skilled and confident clinical team.
  • Working collaboratively with residents, families, allied health professionals and management.
  • Leading by example and contributing to a workplace culture built on teamwork, accountability and respect.

About You – Who Are We Looking For?

We're not simply looking for someone who can manage clinical processes. We're looking for a leader who inspires others, leads by example and genuinely enjoys working with people. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • More than three years' experience in aged care or similar management.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical coordination and case management.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, guide and support a multidisciplinary team.
  • Sound knowledge of aged care legislation, clinical governance and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence in managing competing priorities while maintaining a calm and professional approach.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for improving the lives of older Australians.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
  • A willingness to provide after-hours clinical support and advice when required.

You’ll also need a current police check, CPR and First Aid qualifications, and the ability to meet mandatory training requirements. Experience in dementia care, behavioural management, change management or additional postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.

The Right Fit Matters to Us!

At PRCC, we take our responsibility to residents seriously, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy ourselves along the way! We want someone who brings professionalism, compassion, positivity and a sense of humour to the workplace. Someone who understands that great leadership isn't just about giving directions – it's about supporting your team, building trust, setting high standards and helping others succeed.

If you're an experienced clinical professional who wants to be part of a friendly team where you can genuinely make an impact, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
