Overview
Job Description of Alteryx Developer in Sydney: Design and develop ETL workflows and datasets in Alteryx to be used by the BI Reporting tool. ETL specific for creating datasets (to be used by Tableau Data Extract for BI). Write complex SQL queries on multiple tables using complex joins in Vertica and Google Cloud. Prepare technical specifications and documentation for Alteryx workflows supporting BI reports. Perform end to end data validation.
Translate business requirements into specifications to deliver automation solutions using RPA, ML, Alteryx and Tableau solutions across different finance functions. Provide technical assistance and cross training to team members and business teams with documentation of the solution. Manage post production support for automated assets. Responsible for the data validation process including management of change requests, updates to rule logic and release management.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop ETL workflows and datasets in Alteryx for BI reporting.

- Write complex SQL queries on multiple tables using complex joins in Vertica and Google Cloud.
- Prepare technical specifications and documentation for Alteryx workflows supporting BI reports.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of related experience with Alteryx.
- Hands-on skills and experience in Alteryx Designer, Alteryx Server, and tools with Alteryx such as Predictive, Parsing, and Transforms.
- 2+ years of work experience with data extraction and manipulation tools in Vertica and Google Cloud.
- 2+ years of SQL writing against RDBMS with query optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good understanding of unit testing, software change management, and software release management.
- Good understanding of the star schema and data models in the existing data warehouse.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must have: Technical skills: Alteryx, SQL, Tableau. Broader experience in Data warehousing, multi-tasking, problem solving, data management, data literacy, data governance.
